Review: Does the 'Umbra Tinte™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30' work for all skin shades?

The Umbra Tinte™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 is a tinted physical sunscreen; it is 'broad spectrum,' meaning that it protects against both UVA and UVB sun rays. This product costs $44 CAD for 60 mL.
This product has a nice, thick formulation. If you are looking for a sunscreen that will give you a dewy finish, this one may be suitable for you... but let's first take a look at the company's claims.
On the Sephora website, Drunk Elephant claims that 97% of consumers agreed that  this product does not leave a white residue; 95% agreed that it leaves a smooth, even finish. My personal experience counters both of these claims. Though I love the thick formulation of this sunscreen, in no way whatsoever does it "not leave a white caste." If you are fair skinned, perhaps the white caste will not be as apparent. However, as an individual with a darker skin complexion, this product did not work for me. I also found that it provided little to no coverage, despite it being tinted. For the price point, I personally do not find this product worthwhile.
